My Parents

 

This picture is of my mother and father was taken some time in November of 1980.  This was two years after they had  gotten married. My Mom and Dad pose for a photo while going out for a meal at a restaurant that they used to go to often with my grandparents .  They look very happy together, youthful and, care free like many newly married couples often are.  They are both dressed in sweater turtlenecks and tan jackets.  The style they dress in was very stylish for the time. 

When I look at this photo it brings joy to me.  Now my parents are older now and i don't see that fresh happy new look in them anymore.  I feel partially responsible for this.  I was a difficult child and absolutely put them threw  stress and worry.   I know they still love each. After being together for so many years after getting comfortable with each other. Now they have grown a custom to doing there "own things".  Both my parents are retired now and spend a good amount of there time at our home but, not often together.  My Father will watch TV in there bedroom and my mother will go in the family room.  Occasionally i will see them give each others a look that reminds me of this picture.. a time where my sisters and i weren't around and they had no worry. Many things in life change but i know that there love still remands.
